Another Experimental Day

Rina and I came up with this the other day - isn't it gorgeous!?!

Played around with off camera flash, wanted to muck around with bright daylight and well, we were successful!

Rowena was beautiful and was so happy to roll around in the surf with a wedding dress that kept trying to pull her out to sea!

Parenting Expo

Bliss Kids is hosting a stand at the 2007 Parenting Australia Expo at the Gold Coast Convention Centre on the 16th and 17th June.

We're running a competition for a HUGE canvas and display album, have mini-gift bags to give away with all sorts of goodies in them, and we'll be promoting our new "Secrets of Kids Photography Workshops"

How cool is that!?!

Year of the Model

I'm so excited!!

I've been asked to participate in the inaugural Year of the Model Australia {YOTM) competition!

Its a nationwide search for Catwalk and Photographic models, and Bliss Photography is one of the select few on the Gold Coast to participate.

There are 4 age categories, ranging from 5 to 28 years of age. There are fabulous prizes including cash, fashion spreads in magazines and modelling contracts with top agencies from New York! How exciting!

Photography Training/Mentoring

I've had a bunch of lovely people ask me over the last few weeks if I would take them on or train them.

As much as I'd love to, we just don't need any extra staff at the moment - well, we do, but my accountant says 'no'!

I would love to setup some sort of training/mentoring sessions so I'd really love to hear from anyone who is interested in doing a course run by Bliss Photography.

If you could sent me an email and let me know the following information, it could be the start of something fabulous!

1. What camera equipment do you own?
2. What experience do you have?
3. What part of the photography industry would you like to work in?
4. Would you be interested in a weekly training session for a fixed period?
5. Would you be interested in a once a month training day focusing on different aspects of photography?
6. Would you be interested in listening to guest speakers such as accountants and small business analysts?
7. Would you prefer one on one sessions or small groups?
8. Can you commit to an extended period of learning?

And any other information you think is relevant.

Bliss Site Back Up and A Cool Family Shoot

So, my site's back up - phew!

Next, a very cool family shoot - Mick and Rob have been married for 20 years this April, and asked me to photograph their family for their 20th Anniversary.

My pleasure!! I was at Rob and Mick's wedding and.... well..... I think we're all getting old guys!
